We work closely with our clients to understand the importance of their specific business operational requirements and success factors. Our commitment is to deliver economical and sustainable, fit for purpose track designs using innovative design concepts to aid construction programs and lower whole-life costs, while considering environmental and resiliency issues.
We offer our clients services ranging from initial feasibility studies and conceptual layouts through to full detailed design and documentation for the construction phase services including project verification and onsite specialist advice during the build. Following completion, we also offer as-built review/design services and on-going inspection to ensure your asset is being adequately maintained.
We work with our clients from the start to develop realistic targets and goals for their rail project.
The feasibility stage explores the clients requirements against industry standards to ascertain whether a potential track addition, relocation or removal is feasible based on existing site constraints and budgets.
Option(s) are developed up to a pre-defined conceptual level of detail including track alignment analysis (horizontal and vertical) and layout optimisation taking into account all aspects of passenger/vehicle safety and comfort. This stage provides our clients with suitable information to consider cost and schedule estimates and to make critical decisions concerning the final design. Precise conceptual designs are a critical success factor for project completion.
The full track and civil designs are completed and documented to provide the exact information required for construction. Included are detailed horizontal/vertical track designs, special track work arrangements, track setting out plans, tamping alignment files and detailed earthworks models to spatially define the track structure and suitable data to assist in calculating accurate quantities.
This stage includes all activities required to review the construction data and advise on non-conformances. Construction support activities are also offered throughout the construction phase including quick-turn around re-design, site inspections and engagement with stakeholders to provide technical input. Site work may also be required such as geotechnical monitoring during construction and the installation of TCM plaques providing track setting out information.
Precision Engineering Group offers a variety of Independent Verification services with several engineers accredited across multiple RIM's.
We pride ourselves on offering an IV service which brings value to a project and does not simply tick a box. We work with our clients to achieve an outcome which addresses the technical issues whilst also delivering on stakeholder expectations.
We have invested in the most accurate engraving equipment to develop a manufacturing capability for the production of TCM and Asset plaques. Most importantly Precision Engineering Group has worked in conjunction with a leading anodising company to develop a process where naturally anodised sheets can be engraved and then re-anodised in a black dye solution to offer a complete life long product. This industry first eliminates the need for paint or chemical infill offering a far safer process.
